Het kleine huis van de toekomst

Het Kleine huis van de toekomst (or the small house of the future) was a project for the municipality of Leeuwarden.

The municipality had a team of energy coaches, who assisted homeowners in making their house more sustainable.

However, they had some trouble attracting their audience. All they could really do was participate in markets and neighborhood activities, which usually boiled down to a stand with a couple of flyers; it wasn’t enticing enough.

The idea was simple, the municipality wanted to give their citizens a house of the future. However, a house too big of a gift.

Thus, we came up with a giftbox in the shape of a small house.

This box was filled with information and goodies to inspire the citizens to contact the energy coaches and get to work on sustaining their house.

The outside of the box was decorated in text bubbles and QR codes, which would help homeowners make an appointment with the energy coaches.

Inside of the box were a couple of smaller rectangular boxes, which resembled various rooms inside of the house. These too had valuable information printed on them, and they function as packages for the goodies.

I had a couple of roles in this semester. Besides being the project manger, I also helped with the brainstorming process and eventually designed the shape and exterior of the box in Adobe illustrator.

Despite not having enough time to work everything out, we did give our clients plenty of advice and inspiration to expand the house.

Pestpraat podcast

During my first semester of CMD, school wanted to warm us before we got a real client. The assignment they gave us, was to tackle bullying within schools.

Me and my group came up with the idea to host a podcast where people would talk about their experience with bullying.

We wanted to tackle this problem as broadly as possible, so we not only wanted guests that were bullied, but also people who have bullied.

My role within this project was editing the audio, and designing the logo.

The podcasts are still up on soundcloud, but they are in dutch.
